- Exciting news for 2022-2023:
- We welcome Bridges teacher Ting An Wei to her new role as Bridges program director! Ms. Wei is a doctoral student in viola performance at Peabody Conservatory. She has already engaged several new teachers, and we are certain Bridges will prosper under her guidance!
- Bravo! Thomas Johnson Elementary is renewing its partnership with Maestro/Bridges after a COVID-related hiatus
- We welcome Northwood Elementary as a new partner school for 2022-2023
- We welcome Jada Byron to our Board of Directors! Ms. Byron is an instructional specialist and literacy coach for Baltimore City Public Schools, and the mother of Mason, who began ‘cello study with Bridges at Govans Elementary and now is a student in the TWIGGS program at the Baltimore School for the Arts.
- In spring, 2022 Maestro Ensembles was awarded a Creativity Grant from the Maryland State Council on the Arts to support end-of-year performances and instrument repair
- Thanks to Ting An and our Board members for conducting a full inventory of our instruments and arranging for repairs and replacements this summer to be ready for our students this year.
